Pamela Hammonds

After graduating from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Pamela worked in retail and marketing for years. After her first child was born, she started a regional monthly publication that catered to families. Later she sold the magazine and thus began her freelance writing and editing career. Since then she has written for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and area magazines, amassing over 500 articles to her publishing credits.

She also writes women’s fiction, covering themes including sisterly competition and family struggles, with a special fondness for romantic comedy. Having lived in the Midwest, Los Angeles, Alabama and Texas, she absorbed the many nuances of culture and people, weaving unique characters and settings into her stories. She attends writing conferences and workshops whenever possible and is currently writing her third book-length manuscript—a title yet to come!

On the side, she bakes, cooks, sews, crafts, reads and occasionally cleans something. You can view her personal blog and examples of her work here:
